The August report for marathon fishing charters will begin on the reef. Still a very good bite from yellowtail snapper in the morning and later in the afternoon. While
fishing for yellowtail snapper we have caught some nice yellow jacks, which are excellent eating and put up a great fight on light tackle. Also mixed in have been trigger fish and grouper. At night the mangrove snapper bite has been good also.
Moving out to the deep water wrecks, a lot of action. We hooked into many fish on 50# tackle and could not budge them. We have had good numbers of jack crevelle, amberjacks, bonita, mutton snapper, and grouper.

Now to the offshore. Tuna fishing has been very good. With doubles hooked up almost every time, we know what’s on the menu for dinner! Dolphin fishing has been hit or miss lately. Every time we go out we find big schools of them , but sometimes they eat and sometimes they don’t. On the floating debris we found triple tail and wahoo on almost every piece. One thing for sure is I have one of the biggest offices in the world and have not met one person that doesn’t like to join me for a day of work on the water!
